Committee members heard testimony from former White House legal aides concerning a November 5, 1993 meeting of administration officials and lawyers. They repeatedly denied that any improper actions had occurred during or as a result of this meeting, including the destruction of certain documents relating to the Whitewater land deal. Some Senators also questioned the three wintness, especially Mr. Eggleston about Mrs. Clinton’s role in the Travel Office firings, which is being investigated separately by a House committee.
