Representative Donald Payne (D-NJ) talked about House consideration of H.R. 3094, the Workforce Democracy and Fairness Act. He also responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. The legislation if approved, would overturn a proposed rule from the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) on how union elections are conducted in workplaces. Among the topics Representative Payne discussed were what the bill would do to the proposed NRLB rule, and recent state Republican initiations such as the attempt to repeal Ohio’s collective bargaining law.
