He cited several specific examples of wasted U.S. money, including faulty buildings that collapsed and poorly built roads that might have allowed for improvised explosive device (IED) explosions. He was also critical of the lack of coordination with Afghans and questioned the country’s ability to sustain what U.S. had built. close
