The United Nations Security Council met following reports that close to 1,000 Russian troops had entered Ukraine. NATO released satellite images showing “additional evidence” that Russian combat solders were operating inside Ukraine.

The 7253rd meeting of the Security Council was called with an agenda of a letter dated February 28, 2014, from the permanent representative of Ukraine to the United Nations addressed to the president of the Security Council.
