U.S. Representatives Dick Armey (R-TX) and Billy Tauzin (R-LA) debated the flat tax and the sales tax during a forum at Ohio State University. Both representatives agree that a new tax code must be introduced to reduce the influence of the Internal Revenue Service. Rep. Armey spoke in support of the flat tax and Rep. Tauzin advocated a national sales tax. The two gave presentations outlining their positions and then answered questions from the audience. close
