Bush Institute, and the U.S. Department of State hosted, “Investing in Our Future at the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit,” a day-long “Spousal Program” at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts highlighting the role first spouses play and focused on the impact of investments in education, health, and public-private partnerships. It was part of the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit held in Washington from August 4-6, 2014, to strengthen ties between U.S. and African leaders.
