Ami Gadhia talked about consumers' right to sue following General Mills change to its prior legal terms that would have prevented the option of a court trial or class action lawsuit against the company. Before the policy reversal, consumers who “joined” the company in an online community, downloaded a coupon from its Web site, or interacted with General Mills via other online means were giving up the right to sue the company and limited to arbitration for dispute resolutions.
