Representatives of professional and college sports leagues, the medical community, and youth sports spoke at a forum about the use of steroids by athletes and policy recommendations for ending doping abuses within organized sports. The Zero Tolerance Roundtable, established by the House Government Reform Committee in 2005 to address the growing problem of steroid abuse by youth, held final meeting at which participants considered recommendations from the roundtable’s Enforcement, Education, and Testing Committees and final approval of proposed regulations on the use of steroids and other doping practices in organized sports.
