Jen Psaki briefed reporters and responded to questions on a variety of international issues. Topics included a private diplomatic telephone call between Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs Victoria Nuland and the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine on the political situation in that country that was bugged and leaked. In the call Assistant Secretary Nuland could be heard cursing about the European Union position on Ukraine. Ms. Psaki spoke about America’s position on protests in Ukraine and also said that Assistant Secretary Nuland had made an apology. close
