The Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee held a hearing on Nuclear Material and Nuclear Terrorism Threat. The subcommittee members heard testimony concerning the prevalence and ease of smuggling nuclear weapon-grade material out of the former Soviet Union and how much damage weapons made with even such small amounts of material could cause. They also talked about how the leakage could be controlled. close
