The Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Advisory Committee met and focused on school safety, the identification of persistently dangerous schools, various provisions of the No Child Left Behind Act, and conditions faced by students in the classroom environment. They talked about several reports made to the committee and the proposed recommendations. Secretary Spellings joined the meeting toward the end to hear input from members on the two days of discussion. close
