Defense Department Acting Inspector General Glenn Fine testified at a hearing on allegations that U.S. Central Command altered intelligence related to combating ISIS*. Mr. Fine said his investigation did not find systemic or intentional distortion of intelligence by Central Command seniors leaders; however, he acknowledged widespread perception among many analysts that their leaders were attempting to distort intelligence. Other witnesses included the intelligence director of U.S. Central Command Major General Mark Quantock as well as officials from the Defense Department and Defense Intelligence Agency.
