Steven Mufson discussed U.S. energy policy in light of the news that U.S. oil output was set to outpace Saudi Arabia by 2020. According to a report by the International Energy Agency’s latest World Energy Outlook, the U.S. would become the world’s largest consumer, nearly “energy-independent.” Mr. Mufson also responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.
