House Intelligence Committee Chair Mike Rogers (R-MI) and Senate Intelligence Committee Vice Chair Saxby Chambliss (R-GA) talked about the current state of national security, especially the threat posed by ISIS.* Representative Rogers and Senator Chambliss, who were both retiring in January 2015 at the end of their current terms, talked about what Congress could do to respond to these threats. They reflected on the changes in the 13 years since the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. They also spoke about other security challenges facing the U.S., including Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

“U.S. Security in a Volatile World” was a breakfast event of the Ripon Society at the Capitol Hill Club.
