Defense Secretary Robert Gates and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mike Mullen spoke about the scope and extent of U.S. involvement in military action against the forces of Moammar Qadhafi in Libya. Secretary Gates in his testimony stated that the U.S. would put “no boots on the ground” in Libya.
