House Judiciary Committee Chair Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) and several members of the committee spoke to reporters after House votes on the USA FREEDOM Act (H.R. 3361). The bill would end the bulk collection of Americans' communications records and reform intelligence-gathering programs operated under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). Members admitted that the bill was not perfect and several said they hoped the Senate would pass a stricter version. close
