Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms agents testified about their involvement in the 1992 incident in Northern Idaho standoff, which resulted in the death of Randy Weaver’s wife and son and a federal marshal. Agents defended their use of an informer to lure Mr. Weaver, a white separatist, into a weapons violation that led to the confrontation. A tape recording was played of conversations between the informer and Mr. Weaver. close
