Topics included the disparity between the treatment of medical illnesses and mental health issues, the NIH Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies (BRAIN) Initiative, a partnership between several government agencies tasked with the goal of developing the knowledge and tools to better understand the language of the brain; and Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
