Convention officials unveiled the podium and stage for the 2008 Republican National Convention in the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. They highlighted the stage as the lowest ever, being close to the people, and the video screen as being exceptionally large and the first high definition screen used at a convention. They responded to questions from reporters.
