The Seapower and Expeditionary Forces Subcommittee held a hearing on Marine Corps force protection equipment for forces deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Witnesses testified about equipment augmentation and upgrades, the condition of protective equipment currently used in theater, improvements to weapons and vehicles needed for future deployments, and projected needs resulting from troop increases in Iraq.

Brigadier General Randolph D. Alles was commanding general of the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL) and Brigadier General Michael M. Brogan served as commanding general of the Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC). close
