Education policy experts talked about the results of the Gallup-Phi Delta Kappa survey on public attitudes toward public education and what needs to be done to improve the American education system. Among the findings, parents were more concerned about their child’s physical safety from other students than intruders, growing support for charter schooling and support for improved college affordability. The panelists also discussed the impact of the Common Core State Standards, an initiative which aims to align state curricula with each other. close
