Headlines from the day’s newspapers were read and telephone lines were open for viewer comments on the question, “What was your experience coming home from the Vietnam War?” Telephone lines were divided by Vietnam veterans, Vietnam veterans family members, and all others.

Scenes of the Vietnam Veterans War Memorial were shown in the background. Also shown were video clips of interviews with visitors to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on May 26, 2016: a Vietnam veteran on an honor flight from Kansas; Vietnam veteran Representative Steve Pearce (R-NM); and a pastor from Rhode Island talking about an Indianapolis high school class mate who died in Vietnam and congregants who were war veterans.

There were also live shots from the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington shown in the background. close
