President Barack Obama took part in a “National Day of Service” event the day before his second term began. The event to honor the service and legacy of Martin Luther King, Junior, took place at Burrville Elementary School in northeast Washington, D.C. The president and first lady were seen staining a book shelf with other volunteers, Sheri Fisher and Jeff Franco from City Year.
