Senate Intelligence Committee members heard testimony concerning compliance with the National Security Act which requires the president to notify Congress, especially the Senate Select Intelligence Committee, of both covert operations and intelligence information. The testimony focused on covert U.S. arms sales to Bosnia via Iran in 1994 and intelligence before the bombing of a U.S. base in Saudi Arabia in June 1996. close
