Professor Schneider spoke about conservatism in the 20th century, and particularly the recent growth of the Tea Party. He outlined conservative movements throughout the 20th century focusing on periods such as the Great Depression, World War II, the Cold War and the Reagan era. In addition, he looked at the conflict between conservative and liberal movements as well as the tensions between issue advocacy and ideology. He responded to questions from the audience.
