Governor John Kasich (R-Ohio), one of the 2016 Republican presidential candidates, spoke to members of Michigan’s delegation to the 2016 Republican National Convention at an off-site breakfast in Cleveland. He reminisced about his connections to Michigan, and encouraged delegates to remain active in the political process. He also promised to help solicit donations for Republican candidates in Michigan. Prior to Governor Kasich’s remarks, leaders of Michigan’s Republican Party talked to delegates about the convention process, and took questions on various public policies from attendees. close
