Legal advocates talked about the impact of the U.S. immigration system on the Hispanic community. Topics included the status of immigration reform legislation; the effects of immigration laws on victims, of domestic abuse, sexual assault, and human trafficking; access to legal representation; and the impact of the immigration system on business and commerce.

This forum was part of American University’s Washington College of Law’s Hispanic Law conference on legal issues facing documented and undocumented immigrants. close
