British Prime Minister David Cameron spoke in the House of Commons on the future of United Kingdom-European Union relations. He reported on his meetings the previous week with European leaders which included the nomination of former Luxembourg Premier Jean Claude Juncker to become the next president of the European Commission in July 2014. Prime Minister Cameron opposed that decision, saying it would be the wrong choice for Europe. Opposition Leader Ed Miliband criticized the prime minister’s efforts in Europe and said he alienated the U.K. in his meetings with European leaders.
