Last Stand at Khe Sanh
C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2016 LCV Cities Tour” in Las Vegas, Nevada, from May 7-13 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Cox Communication cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on Book TV on C-SPAN2.

Gregg Jones talked about his book Last Stand at Khe Sanh: The U.S. Marines' Finest Hour in Vietnam, in which he explores the U.S. Marines' battle at Khe Sanh, Vietnam. On January 21, 1968, 6,000 U.S. troops engaged in a 3 month long battle with 20,000 North Vietnamese soldiers in one of the most publicized battles of the Vietnam War.
