Nick Gillespie discussed the article he co-authored for the Reason.com, “Generational Warfare: Old-Age Entitlements vs. the Safety Net,” about the gap that exists between older and younger Americans in regard to Social Security and Medicare. Mr. Gillespie argued that those programs should be phased out and replaced with programs that would expand the scope of aid beyond the elderly to include Americans of all ages. Other topics included the Supreme Court’s ruling on the health care law. He responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.
