The subcommittee heard testimony from the Environmental Protection Agency administrators Mr. Reilly and Mr. Clay, who testified on the implementation of the superfund regulations. The superfund guidelines were made into law in 1980 to ensure the cleanup of hazardous waste sites around the country. The subcommittee also heard testimony from people directly involved in cleaning up hazardous waste sites around the country. close
