John Cassidy talked about his book How Markets Fail: The Logic of Economic Calamities (Farrar, Straus and Giroux; November 10, 2009). In the book he argues that free market economic theories fail to take into account how human behavior impacts economic decision making. This, he says, leads to market failures like the housing market collapse. Mr. Cassidy spoke at the Harvard Book Store. close
