Robert Shiller, a New York Times columnist and Yale University economics professor, argues that while Wall Street financial firms should be criticized for their role in the 2008 collapse,it is now necessary to figure out a way to harness the power of the financial sector to advance the public good. He responded to questions from moderator Cory Johnson and those submitted by members of the audience at this meeting of the Commonwealth Club of California in the San Francisco office.
