The House Resources Committee held this hearing on Arctic Energy Resources. Witnesses were Interior Secretary Gale Norton; Tara Sweeney, Assistant to Alaska Governor for Rural Affairs; Jamie Clark, Senior Vice President for the National Wildlife Foundation; Peter Van Tuy, Attorney for the Trustees of Alaska; and Ken Boyd, former Director of Alaska Division of Oil and Gas. They all testified about energy resources in Alaska. Discussion focused on the costs and benefits of drilling for oil in certain wilderness areas. close
