Panelists talked about using lessons of the past to guide the future of the book publishing industry. Among the topics they addressed were providing access to books and services for the blind, traditional and digital preservation of texts, and the uses of electronic media in libraries and the publishing market. They answered questions from the audience. The International Summit of the Book was hosted by the Library of Congress in Washington,D.C
