Nick Backhaus, restoration manager at Heritage Hill State Historical Park, talked about the Fort Howard’s role in Green Bay, Wisconsin, during the 19th century, and about the work to restore the fort’s guard house. Three buildings that are original to Fort Howard have been relocated to Heritage Hill State Historical Park.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2014 LCV Cities Tour” in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from September 20-26 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Time Warner Cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on BookTV on C-SPAN2. close
