Senate Governmental Affairs Subcommittee members heard testimony from several FAA officials and representatives from other federal agencies concerning the FAA safety inspection program. They testified three basic aspects of the program: targeting the highest risk areas in the system, training for inspectors, and supervision of their activities. The first panel consisting of two FAA officials testified behind a panel with altered voices in order to ensure their anonymity. close
