David Plouffe, 2008 Obama presidential campaign manager, and Steve Schmidt, senior adviser to the 2008 McCain campaign, offered their thoughts about the influence of social media, SuperPAC’s and technology during campaigns, and what the Republican Party must do to win over certain demographic groups. They also gave their insight on who would be running for president in 2016. They responded to questions from members of the audience. Both political strategists are alumni of the University of Delaware which hosted this forum. It was part of the Center for Political Communication’s 2012 National Agenda speaker series. close
