Participants discussed campaign finance reform. They claimed that although the original 1974 law had accomplished much to combat political corruption, decisions since then, including the 1976 Supreme Court decision in Buckley v. Valeo, have effectively nullified the law. Following their remarks, they answered questions from the audience.
