After a recess for separate party discussions, members continued to debate whether or not investigations should proceed into voter fraud allegations against Senator Landrieu. Senator Byrd voiced displeasure at having to vote immediately on an issue of such importance. The committee passed a resolution to continue the investigation into any matters deemed appropriate by Chairman Warner by strictly partisan 9 to 7 vote over the recommendations of the two attorneys who suggested a more limited probe in Louisiana to test Mr. Jenkins' allegations. close
