Committee members heard from two appointed attorneys, one Republican and one Democrat, concerning the validity of Republican Senate Candidate Woody Jenkins' claims of voter fraud in the Louisiana Senate election in which he lost to Senator Mary Landrieu (D) by less than 6,000 votes. The witnesses highlighted and took questions about their report, which requested another month to investigate whether Mr. Jenkins' claims should be fully investigated. After hearing from Senator Landrieu and Mr. Jenkins, the committee will vote on April 17 on how to proceed. close
