Former Vice President Dick Cheney was interviewed by Stephen Hayes about the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Mr. Cheney provided a detailed description of events on the day of the attack, saying he was able to keep his emotions in check during the days that followed. Other topics included George W. Bush administration surveillance and interrogation programs, and the Iraq War. Mr. Cheney also responded to questions from members of the audience.
