Lieutenant General James Kowalski, deputy commander of U.S. Strategic Command, gave an update on nuclear deterrence and missile defense. He said that outer space as well as cyber space must be acknowledged as two critical components of nuclear deterrence. Topics included the effects of sequestration* on defense efforts.
