Robert McNamara served as defense secretary from 1961 to 1968 under President Kennedy and President Johnson. His leadership during the Vietnam War is the subject of a new book titled McNamara, Clifford, and the Burdens of Vietnam, 1965-1969. The author, Edward Drea, joined former Defense Secretary Harold Brown and others for a discussion about McNamara and his successor, Clark Clifford. close
