Former Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman talked about the influence and effects of the American political system on food security. He called food security one of “the biggest issues” of future years. He outlined how the U.S. and Congress had dealt with agriculture issues over the previous 50 years, and future actions he believes the nation should take. He said that innovation, technology, and weather and climate were keys to ensuring food security, and that governments must take on those issues in addition to private and smaller entities. close
