Following prepared remarks about the situation in Bosnia and the future of this country, the participants answered questions from the audience. Attention focused on the complexity of the situation there. Ms. Kirkpatrick spoke on the large number of groups involved in the security there and seemingly have failed in Bosnia and elsewhere in the former Yugoslavia. Mr. Krauthammer concentrated the U.S. policy toward the region and whether military intervention is necessary. Mr. Glynn talked about U.S. policy being misconceived towards the collapse of Yugoslavia. Mr. Muravchik discussed the other panelist’s points and reflected on the future of NATO. close
