C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2013 LCV Cities Tour” in Yuma, Arizona on April 1-4 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Sam Metta Bexar talked about her book, Post-Revolutionary Chicana Literature: Memoir, Folklore and Fiction of the Border, 1900-1950, in which she explores how Chicana literature, specifically the genres of memoir, folklore, and fiction, arose on the U.S.-Mexico border during the first half of the twentieth century.
