Former Vice President Dick Cheney addressed the 20th anniversary Keeper of the Flame dinner. He talked about national security policy and U.S. engagement in Afghanistan. He criticized the Obama administration for “waffling” on Afghan strategy, saying the “White House must stop dithering while America’s armed forces are in danger.” He also defended the Bush administration against charges that it allowed some suspected terrorists to be tortured.
