Congressional Budget Office (CBO) Director Keith Hall and Deputy Director Mark Hadley held a press briefing to release their agency’s latest budget and economic outlook. According to the new CBO report, federal deficits were expected to decrease over the upcoming two years but then follow an upward trajectory in the next decade. The report also projects that gross domestic product (GDP) would expand at an average pace of 2.1 percent over the next two years. In addition, officials answered reporter questions concerning health care premiums, the labor force participation rate, and future economic forecasts. close
