Breyer Confirmation Hearing Day 1 Part 1
Breyer, President Clinton’s second nominee to the Surpeme Court. In
this first session, two senators made opening statements. Then the
senators from Massachusetts and California, where Judge Breyer had
lived most of his life, intoduced him to the committee. He then
introduced his family and made an opening statement outlining his
